Happy Trails

Olivia started Pony Preschool classes this past Saturday over at Camp Eberhart in Three Rivers. They had many more children show up than expected so they only got to do one lap around. That was enough for day one and it was hot. Olivia was very excited and can't wait to go back next week, when they have a smaller group and more riding time.

Fun with Family

Olivia and her daddy get a kick out of giving each other wedgies. What fun cheap entertainment. Mommy prefers to stay out of this game.

Andy and I left Olivia home with Nana and Papa the weekend of August 22nd to head up to Alpena for my Uncle Dave and Aunt Marvis' 50th wedding anniversary. We stayed with my Uncle Jere Timm and Andy awoke to find this large turtle in the driveway the morning after we arrived.

Happy 50th Dave and Marvis!

Uncle Jere returned the favor by paying us a visit the following weekend. Olivia is just smitten with Jere and wanted to sit with him whenever possible. Jere is a huge steak fan so we took him to Bill's Steakhouse in Bronson one evening and the next night we hit Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Mishawaka. I believe Jere enjoyed both, especially his 4 pound lobster from Ruth's Chris that he wouldn't stop talking about. We loved having him stay with us and hope he can come again soon.Posted by Picasa

The Frog Prince of Cade Lake

Monday, August 18th Olivia and I got together with some dear friends the Holtz's girls and spent the afternoon swimming at Cade Lake. Katie and her girls live a short distance from the lake so they have a season pass and go regularly. It was a perfect suggestion on her part and we had a wonderful time.

Some other girls swimming at the lake managed to find a lot of frogs and Olivia flashed them her cute smile and asked them "please can you get me a frog?" Of course they couldn't resist and quickly obliged her request. I figured she'd actually freak out when I tried to give it to her. He kept hopping out of my hands and I could barely hold on to the little bugger, but as soon as he was in Olivia's hands he just sat and rested there. She probably carried that thing around for 30 minutes before letting some boys at the lake play with him.

Baby Berkley even got in on the fun, while her sister Claire looks on.

Summer partying

I have been terrible at posting any blogs lately so I will throw a few up today as to what has been going on in the past few weeks of the lives of the Feyes Family. A couple of weeks ago we headed to our friends Kelli and Jimmy Lambs for a cookout and get together and had a blast.

Olivia all dolled up and ready to go party at our friends the Lamb's house

The Lamb's set up their son Callahan's pool to his slide. Olivia did this over and over and over...
