Four Wheels & Fireworks

Back at "Patient Acres," Olivia gave everyone a ride on her four wheeler. She lights up when she can take someone with her, especially if it's their first time or they don't go frequently. I think that's because she finds it comical to hear everyone's screams of terror when they realize their life is in the hands of a five year old!
Aunt Christy was the first brave soul to venture out with Olivia

After her feet were safely on solid ground Christy got in some snuggle time with Mia

Next up was Uncle Aaron's terrifying ride

Nana got a turn too, but she's used to this type of torment now
Last up was Papa

Mia loves to sit on Andy's lap on the tractor

The fireworks in Alpena are always spectacular. We've seen them many other places, granted no huge towns, but other places never measure up to Alpena's firework extravaganza. This year was no exception. In fact, I'd have to say it was the most memorable yet. We watched them from the Bay Motel where most of the family was staying. It was right next to where they let off the fireworks so it was an up close and personal experience. The sounds were so loud, but exhilarating at the same time. Both photos I have are from the grand finale. It was phenomenal. I literally thought there was going to be an explosion or injury to the workers because of how many were going off at once and the sheer noise it was making. The ground was actually shaking and all the street lights went off because the sky was lit up so brightly. The finale lasted for at least a minute and I took pleasure in listening to Andy's laughter like a little child watching it all.

Amazingly enough, Olivia managed to sleep through the entire fireworks show. We tried waking her, but she was one tuckered out little girl.
