Feyes Family Together

Andy's grandma Betty and her husband Ed came up for a week from Arkansas the same week that Aaron and Christy came up from Georgia. It was wonderful being able to get the family all together. It was Mia's first time meeting her great grandparents.

The Treehouse in Chelsea

As it is most apparent, I am behind in my blog entries. The next few entries will flashback our lives the past few weeks. On Saturday, December 5th Olivia, Mia, and I drove over to Chelsea to celebrate Zsolt and his cousin's Matthew's birthday. What a fun place for all ages!
Mia enjoyed bopping Kristian in the head with the balloons!

Christmas cards

I put the girls in their dresses for Christmas Eve to get a few photos for Christmas cards. I am definitely not a professional photographer, but at least a few of them came out okay.

Fun Festivities

The Sunday prior to Thanksgiving besides having an early dinner at my dad's we were treated to pizza at Andy's parents' to celebrate his 31st birthday. Olivia decided to dress up (no surprise there) and get married. Nana played "Here Comes the Bride" on the piano for her and daddy stood in as her groom.
Dressing up and performing still are on top of Olivia's favorite past times. She also loves anything arts and crafts. We definitely have a daughter with a passion for the arts on our hands! Mia enjoys chewing on anything, especially shoes if she gets the chance, pulling herself up to things, and is on a constant wanting to nurse stage of life.
A few nights ago we decorated our Christmas tree. Mia had to get in on the action too of course. We couldn't leave her out. Olivia loved looking at each and every ornament and asking "Can this one be mine?" for each one. Hanging the ornaments was always one of my favorite family activities as a child and I'm glad my girls are inheriting the love for it too.

We Are Thankful!

The Sunday before Thanksgiving my dad and Patty had both my sister's and our family over for dinner. We snapped what I believe, is the first picture of all the cousins together. We are thankful for family!
Since the first year Andy and I dated we have gone to Alpena for Thanksgiving. We have missed a few, but for the most part we always go, so this year was no different. My Uncle Jere graciously welcomed us. We had a great meal together. Andy and Jere enjoyed playing on the tractor at our property getting some work done. We are thankful for our good fortune!
We had to head home early Sunday so we could see Stevie before he headed back to Florida. Olivia misses him dearly, as do we all. We are thankful for friends!
While in Alpena, Mia took what we thought were her first steps. Turns out she's taken a few at Jackie's earlier in the week. Not even 8 months old and already trying to go places. We are thankful for our healthy daughters!

Birthdays, Babies, and Football

Well, the beginning of this month started out with the flu going through our house. First Mia followed by Olivia. It's never pleasant to see your little ones under the weather, but thankfully it has all passed on and relocated. After the flu Olivia worried us with her extreme exhaustion. We'd pick her up around 4:30 from Jackie's and she'd fall asleep on the drive home. Once home, she'd go straight to bed with her shoes and clothes on and not even wake up for dinner. Waking her in the morning was a struggle too. She was getting over 14 hours of sleep a night and not eating. We took her to the Dr., but got no answers, although the nurse was sure it was mono. She said they've had a huge number of cases lately. Who knows if it was mono or her little body just recovering from the flu. We are thankful she's getting back to her old self again. Her appetite has definitely returned.

Saturday was Andy's 31st birthday. My dad took Andy, Andy's dad, and Jared all to the Ohio State vs. Michigan football game. Needless to say, Andy was thrilled with the outcome. While the men were off watching football the girls and I had some visitors. One of my dear friends, Autumn had a baby boy, Kellen, less than 1 month ago and they drove over to meet us. He is so adorable, but slept most of his visit. We were really hoping to be able to see another one of our good friends, Megan and her new little baby boy Dechlan, but couldn't track them down. Megan and her hubby Nick had Dechlan 1 week ago today. Autumn, Megan, and I were inseparable back in middle school and our freshman year, until Autumn's family moved away. It was fun reminiscing and realizing how much we've all changed.

As Autumn left, Grandma Patty came over to catch the last few minutes of the game with us. We had a nice visit, ate some pizza from DaVincis, played a little Uno with Olivia, and some cuddling with Mia, until the men made it home. Mia's new thing she does is leans her head from side to side. She reminds me of a puppy dog. It's cute.

Halloween 2009

We carved pumpkins as a family Wednesday night. Olivia enjoyed designing faces to put on hers and daddy's. Mia on the other hand, enjoyed constantly crawling over and getting into everything. The next morning Mia woke up with a fever, and we've been battling them ever since. We went to the Dr. on Thursday and all her tests came back negative. Her fever seems to spike in the middle of the night, but is barely existent during the daytime. Hopefully it stays down tonight. Because of her fever she stayed home with me while daddy took Olivia out trick-or-treating with Gavyn Moore. It was so fun seeing our neighborhood kids and friends all dressed up.
Our only photo of Mia in her costume. It was just too cold and with her just starting to feel better I didn't get more of a chance. Also, she had a diaper blowout, so the costume came off!
Our adorable elephant!
My girls!
I chopped Olivia's hair off today (per her request), which is evident in this photo.
